Will Smith's Wellbeing

In the video of Fresh Prince of Bel Air Will receives tickets to the Clippers game with court side seats from Uncle Phil as a reward for his outstanding behaviour. He starts off happy for a few seconds but then he feels guilty and tells Uncle Phil the pills Carlton took were from his locker. Uncle Phil goes from proud to disappointed and angry and calls the family in so Will can tell them.
Physical- Will's physical well being is affected because he started stuttering and standing disappointingly.
Social- His social well being was affected as he communicated with his family developing their bond.
Mental/emotional- His mental/ emotional was affected because he was feeling happy but then he felt hurt and sorrowful.
Spiritual- His spiritual well being was affected because he told the truth which shows he values his family and honesty.

His well being dimensions were affected in both negative and positive ways. His physical well being was affected in a negative way as he started talking unclear because he was in wrong and standing in a head down position affecting his ability to move. Will's social well being was affected in a positive way because he decided to communicate with his family and tell the truth rather than lying to them which influenced growth in their family relationships and in trusting one another. His mental/ emotional was affected in a negative way. Although he started off happy the guilt and feeling of right doing kicked in, when Will told the truth he felt sad, disappointment, sorry and blameable, his feelings were then negative about himself and his doings. His spiritual well being was affected in a positive way, it was positive because his values of honesty and his family stood when he told them the truth.

Overall Will's well being was affected because it became unbalanced and the dimensions weren't all supporting each other.
Will valuing his family and honesty (SPIRITUAL) connected to him telling them the truth because he gained a sense of achievement by doing so. His decision to communicate with his family improved their relationships (SOCIAL), as while telling them he became more emotional and sad (m/e)  affecting his feelings and thoughts about himself which further influenced his body positions and stance (physical) to change affecting his ability to move.

Accenture- Hour of Code

Accenture- Hour of Code

Today was a wonderful day full of new experiences and opportunities at Accenture. I learnt and discovered many things such as basic coding skills, new technology and jobs.

The day began with snacks and an introduction where we all introduced ourselves and got to meet new people. The staff were all absolutely great as well as Timoti who video called us from Sydney and shared his journey and passion about what it was like to be one of the few Maori/ pacific in Uni and the industry.

My favourite part of the day had to be when we were in the Mclaren room playing on the virtual reality game, it was extremely fun and interesting. In the Mclaren room there was a voice controlled speaker, a virtual reality game set and something similar to google glasses. Throughout the day we played coding games, watched videos, ate food and had loads of inspiring people talk to us.

It was ten times better than I expected it to be and the view and area was great. Overall today was an enjoyable experience that I am very grateful for.

ICT_Multilevel Game

Scratch

In ICT we have been learning about what and how to use coding to function games. We have each created a multi level game on scratch, first following instructions to create and operate the first three levels then expanding and creating our own three levels adding on to the game.

My Election Vote

Election Day, Who would I vote for?
In class we looked at the political parties and their policies for health, education and housing. We studied and  chose which policies we liked the best for each area to give us an idea of who we would vote for.
I found that I would vote for the Maori party in education, the Labour party in housing and the Green party for health. I voted for these policies because in my opinion they are focusing on the major problems and issues and the ones that need the most improving. I also agree with the actions they are going to make and believe that each of their policies affect the most people. The Maori party’s policies for education include ensuring all young people leave school with a driver licence, bank account, IRD number and a CV, providing free after school care and holiday programmes for all children and also Providing free primary and secondary education to all children. The green party's policies for health are Introducing a warrant of fitness scheme for rental homes and Taxing sugary drinks. The Labour party's policies include developing a national strategy for ending homelessness and stopping the selling of state houses.

Overall I decided my my vote would go to the labour party as the housing issue is affecting my area and their policies for health and education are standard.

Opening Of Parliament

On day one of Parliament the MP’s do a process called “taking the oath of allegiance” (swearing on the bible) to confirm their loyalty to Parliament roles and the sovereign. They also elect a Speaker of The House. On the second day they have a formal ceremony to open parliament, the Governor general's messenger is then sent to the debating chamber to elect members of the Legislative Council Chamber.

Migration Model

Model of Migration
My model of migration shows the reasons for movement from Tokelau to New Zealand. The mainstream/ flow of migrants is represented as a thick bar because a lot of people are moving. The 2 circles display the push and pull reasons for moving to New Zealand, the pull reasons being the opportunities and advantages of moving to New Zealand and the push reasons being the disadvantages and reasons for leaving Tokelau. The intervening obstacles are the objects blocking or in the way of migrating such as family and money and the counter flow of migrants are the people who return to their homes.
