ICT_Multilevel Game

Scratch

In ICT we have been learning about what and how to use coding to function games. We have each created a multi level game on scratch, first following instructions to create and operate the first three levels then expanding and creating our own three levels adding on to the game.

My Election Vote

Election Day, Who would I vote for?
In class we looked at the political parties and their policies for health, education and housing. We studied and  chose which policies we liked the best for each area to give us an idea of who we would vote for.
I found that I would vote for the Maori party in education, the Labour party in housing and the Green party for health. I voted for these policies because in my opinion they are focusing on the major problems and issues and the ones that need the most improving. I also agree with the actions they are going to make and believe that each of their policies affect the most people. The Maori party’s policies for education include ensuring all young people leave school with a driver licence, bank account, IRD number and a CV, providing free after school care and holiday programmes for all children and also Providing free primary and secondary education to all children. The green party's policies for health are Introducing a warrant of fitness scheme for rental homes and Taxing sugary drinks. The Labour party's policies include developing a national strategy for ending homelessness and stopping the selling of state houses.

Overall I decided my my vote would go to the labour party as the housing issue is affecting my area and their policies for health and education are standard.

Opening Of Parliament

On day one of Parliament the MP’s do a process called “taking the oath of allegiance” (swearing on the bible) to confirm their loyalty to Parliament roles and the sovereign. They also elect a Speaker of The House. On the second day they have a formal ceremony to open parliament, the Governor general's messenger is then sent to the debating chamber to elect members of the Legislative Council Chamber.

Migration Model

Model of Migration
My model of migration shows the reasons for movement from Tokelau to New Zealand. The mainstream/ flow of migrants is represented as a thick bar because a lot of people are moving. The 2 circles display the push and pull reasons for moving to New Zealand, the pull reasons being the opportunities and advantages of moving to New Zealand and the push reasons being the disadvantages and reasons for leaving Tokelau. The intervening obstacles are the objects blocking or in the way of migrating such as family and money and the counter flow of migrants are the people who return to their homes.

A digital footprint is the information about a particular person that exists on the Internet as a result of their online activity.

Fono Fale

What is the fono fale?
The fono fale is  a Pacific Island model of health similar to hauora except the different culture and beliefs.
What is different about it compared to Hāuora?
The fono fale represents the well being of islanders and the hauora represents the well being of maoris. The buildings are very alike, the difference is that the fono fale includes culture and family aswell.
What is similar compared to Hāuora?
They are both designed for the well being of people and both represent the things important to their health.
Do you like the Hāuora model or the fonofale model more? Why?
I like the fono fale as it shows the same well being as hauora except it also includes culture and family which I value.
